I work with people of all beliefs and know that God loves everyone. My hope is to help everyone love and accept themselves as God does. I credit my success in counseling to my partnership with God. My relationship with God is the most important thing to me.
I have over 20 years experience as a master’s level counselor. I have helped with marriages, adolescent issues, family struggles and life stresses. During my career I have completed special training in trauma related disorders and use Trauma Resolution Therapy as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).
Prior to my Master’s degree, I worked with pregnant teenagers and their families at DePelchin Children’s Center and families at Houston Child Guidance Center. After my degree I worked in psychiatric hospitals for Rapha Christian Treatment Centers and at Houston Center for Christian Counseling. I also spent 4 years with United Behavioral Health as a clinical case manager.
I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree with a double major in Psychology and Social Work and a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I was raised in Albuquerque, but lived and worked most of my life in Houston Texas. I have been married since 1974 and have a daughter and a granddaughter. I am glad to return to the home of my youth to be close to my father and our cabin in the Jemez.
